Traditionally, indirect lighting has been the preferred solution for commercial pool halls. Today, EVA Optic direct lighting offers a cost-efficient, high performance alternative that is ideal for new build, renovation or relighting projects.
Unlike indirect lighting, EVA Optic direct LED lights are fitted around the pool shining directly down over the water — providing world-class, flicker-free light with reduced reflection and surface glare.
Industry guidelines state that light levels must be minimum 300 Lux, with an illumination uniformity value of 0.7 or higher. When installed at the Waltham Abbey Leisure centre in Essex, EVA lighting was able to deliver 321 Lux on average and a light uniformity of 0.74. EVA direct lighting was also fitted at the Egham Orbit Leisure Centre in Surrey, delivering an average 320 Lux and a uniformity of 0.77.
If you thought exceptional lighting, suitable for world-class sporting facilities, would be prohibitively expensive, think again. EVA Optic LED lights are extremely efficient and use up to 6 times less energy than old technology equivalents thanks to the use of Constant Light Output control. So not can they cut running costs by 50 percent, they ensure a much faster return on investment.
The EVA Optic pool range includes EVAline individual or modular lights, downlights, Hydra spotlights and pendant lights. All are made to international safety standards and are designed to withstand aggressive corrosion from airborne chloramines, as well as the punishing heat of the pool environment.
